Questions

Which FTMO rules does the calculator use?

FTMO 2-Step: +10% in the Challenge and +5% in the Verification, a static 10% max loss, a 5% max daily loss and at least 4 trading days per phase. FTMO 1-Step: +10%, a 10% max loss that trails the highest end-of-day balance, a 3% max daily loss and a best-day rule of 50% of total profit. Read from ftmo.com on 19 October 2026.

How does the FTMO 1-Step trailing loss work here?

After each day the floor moves up to 10% below the highest end-of-day balance so far, and it never moves down. FTMO's page does not describe a lock, so the preset leaves 'Trailing stops at the starting balance' unticked and the floor keeps trailing.

What happens with the best-day rule?

If your best day is more than 50% of your total profit when you reach +10%, the target does not count yet and you keep trading, as FTMO describes. It is not a breach.

Is this affiliated with FTMO?

No. St. Joseph Desk is independent. Rules change: check your own account's rules on FTMO's site before you trade.
